            The privilege of diversified tropical areas for the enjoyment of the tourism.

                 Venezuela, in its territorial extension of 916.445 sq. Kms, has a great space, which gives viability to a unique sense of geographic identity.  This identity has been consolidated in the contrasting topographic landscapes and different vegetational associations, which range from impenetrable littoral mangrove swamps and profuse inner pluvial jungles to savannas and xerophityc bushes of plentiful fauna.               

It is desirable to know and to interpret the region with its many differences, in order to achieve a suitably use of the Venezuelan geographic variety and the lovers of the natural environment should conceive it within its richness, complexity and fragility.

                The diversity of the Venezuelan geography has been established by elements of relative geographic position, of climatic and vegetation zones, of contrasting relief's among the Andes Mountains, the Costa Range with its Littoral and Interior mountain system, and the Guayana Shield, which face plain extensions.  The complexity of the Venezuelan terrestrial territory is extended in the space plurality of the marine and submarine areas of its territorial sea, which emphasizes its landscapes heterogeneity.

                Likewise, the aftermath of manners of pre-historical occupation in the territory, which has adapted in different ways the geographic landscapes, has had great influence.  The human trace in the natural environment of Natives, Spaniards, Africans, refined in the Creole crossbreeding, is characterized by means of a long historicity which has intensively altered landscapes in relation to the sociocultural and economic evolution.  The ancestral types of housing, wise association of foreign and autochthonous plants, handicraft, fauna diverse, people, typical cuisine, folk have combined and identified specific regions, which have established themselves in places, virgin in the past.

                In each of these eight regions, with its extreme variety of geographic landscapes and its corresponding ecosystem you will enjoy the privilege of feels the best of the Caribbean:

Western Venezuela

Fact Sheet  

The territorial resources are expressed in privileged places with a rich historical inheritance. In this sense, the geohistorical landscapes of the city of Coro and provide an authentic monumental atmosphere specific of the Venezuelan historical identity a priceless cultural resource, prevail in the state of Falcón. As a matter of fact, three monumental complex has reached our times surrounded by streets paved with stones, a center of extraordinary churches and of splendid large houses of rigorous appearance with enormous portals with padded square columns, windows bound with iron and elegant balconies. In this city of historical encounter, we can observe a variety of natural landscapes embellishing its zone of influence, which coincides with the 24,800 sq. Kms. of the state of Falcón. 

The beaches and landscapes of San Juan de los Cayos, Tucacas, Chichiriviche and other near places are a splendid tourist and recreative resources. The landscapes, the avifauna and the near Salinas of Cuare in small gulf of Cuare, make a great impression to visitors. The coralline landscapes of the Keys have an extraordinary value, as it can be observed in Cayo Sombrero and in others developed between Chichiriviche and Tucacas. The splendid open landscapes with sandy beaches and small cliffs of the Paraguaná Peninsula and the Isthmus of Médanos, represent a resource of great tourist value and interest. 

The large territorial extension of 26,900 sq. Kms. Of the Lara and Yaracuy states makes possible the overlapping of different landscapes, which offer environments of great interest, as well as some peculiarities cultural resources. In this region, the contrasting relief's are composed of sierras of diverse altitudes, hills, valleys and depression which serve as a transition among the most abrupt relief of the Andes Mountain and the Coast Cordillera. The city of Barquisimeto, with its historical and ancestral legacy, has given identity to these landscapes. The landscapes of Yaracuy depression and of the valley of Aroa river, are of great fertility. The urban landscape of San Felipe is also of great interest.


3. WESTERN VENEZUELA (WV)


WVW-01 MORROCOY NATIONAL PARK-CUARE RESERVE 
*E (3 Days-2 Nights).
1,10,13 Ground transfer to Tucacas. From Posada Morokke right by the sea shore, 
15 navigate through the spectacular mangrove channels. Visit Isla de Aves,
home of a colony of Frigate and many other sea birds. Spend the day snorkeling in any of the many clear water keys where the abundant reef life is astonishing. Choose a solitaire beach to bathe and relax or join the fun at Sombrero Key. Take an optional ride to the Cuare Bird Reserve, a saline lagoon, obliged stopover for migrating flamingos on its way to the south.

WVW-02 CORO - TARA TARA - PARAGUANA (3 Days-2 Nights).
*E Early morning flight to Coro. Visit its beautifully preserved plazas, cathedrals,
1,4,10,14 temples and museums. Drive to picturesque TaraTara site of arqueological
15 excavations to find the remains of prehistorically animals directed by Prof. Cruxent. Take a walk at the Médanos of Coro National Park, distinguished by the presence of sand dunes with its characteristic flora and fauna. 
At Paraguaná enjoy the many peninsular beaches. Ride through its towns up to Cabo San Román and look out for the artisans of the region.
